Rotating disk wing helix for drone
CHALLENGE
An engineering from the University of Lisbon reached out to FabInventors to create an experimental rotating disc wing that replaced traditional helixes for drones. Besides printing the product, we helped improve the first prototype.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS
We helped a research project from Universidade de Lisboa:
- Build a drone rotating disc wing that costs 10x less by changing the production materials.
- Redesign and propose improvement to the original prototype.
- Deploy the final version of the prototype in 2 days and test it in a wind tunnel.
