Non-pneumatic airless tires
CHALLENGE
A research project from the University of Lisbon challenged us to develop economical and environmentally friendly non-pneumatic tires that relied on their elastic properties to be efficient.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS
We helped a research project from Universidade de Lisboa:
- Create an innovative method for building airless tires for bycicles, e-scooter, and autonomous robots.
- Analyse its needs and engineer a custom 3D printer in less than 3 months.
- Speed production time by 50% without quality or precision loss.
- Train the team to use the 3D printer regularly.
